Haha wow I agree with most of this. Except minus the catch up lunches. I really do like seeing people and hanging out. I think it only applies for acquaintances that you barely knew. And you guys?? To New Beginnings
Chuc Mung Nam Moi! Chinese and Vietnamese New Year’s. I can’t believe how fast time flies. Where did 2011 go? Normally each year, I write a blog looking back on my experiences of that year. I haven’t been able to do so yet mostly because I’ve been trying to let my hands, wrists and elbows heal. It seems typing and computer usage exacerbates symptoms and therefore I’ve...

Great post!  movementlifestyle:   ~ Dedicated to Tracy Seiler, Bianca Vallar, Jay Vaughn, and Keone Madrid for having countless and endless conversations about this very important subject. ~ I’m sure nobody believes me, but one of the first dance moves I ever learned was a top rock.  Not a double turn, not an eight count of choreography.  A top rock.  With a break beat playing off the speakers,...

Travel Brain Storm
I’ve been thinking lately about where I should go on my next adventure. I’m in the process of saving money but I’m honestly not sure. I’m not really interested in going to Europe since I feel that’s a place I can go to when I’m older. I do want to go back to Mexico to travel through the east coast. I’ve already been able to make my way from Central Mexico...

Fall Update
I noticed I haven’t written a post in a long time. My life pretty much has just been filled with just working during the daytime. G has a way of entertaining me with their random little events here and there. Most recently, they wheeled several HUGE pumpkins onto campus and staged this massive pumpkin carving event. Little things like that make me chuckle and amuse me. The relaxing bike...

I miss swimming whenever I want so much. It’s making me restless and cranky. I hate how I have to wake up HELLLA EARLYYYYY all the time just to go. AUGH!!!! I miss SD so much. Why aren’t there more pools in the bay area for lap swim?!!? -___________-” I also miss the ocean so much.. It’s like a total yearning or craving… A free, fun form of exercise…..  I...

Nowadays I drive 60-65 mph on the freeway and in the slow lane. I used to be one of those cars in the fast lane going super fast. Why? It’s simple…. GAS IS FREAKIN EXPENSIVE and I noticed driving slower saves me SOOOO MUCH mileage. Try it out folks! I hear it’s better to drive at 55mph actually but I don’t want to get run off the freeway. Hehehehe.

Dear Self,
Please find the time to study Japanese once again and start using it.. At least with your friends over skype. Otherwise you’re going to forget it all and it woud be a huge huge waste…… All that studying in the past would have been in vain if it’s all going to go down the drain…. Ever since 3pm yesterday all I’ve been doing is either watching netflix, eating, drinking TONS of water, or sleeping. I took a 4 hour nap yesterday, took a vitamin, then slept 8 hours, took a vitamin, and I’ve been napping intermittently all day. Come on body! Kick germ ass! I blame the crazy weather change on Friday. Ever since then I’ve been feeling off. My throbbing headache...

Yuppy Life [Minus the Urban]
Working life definitely has its perks… Namely the money! My aim is to save about $25,000 to move out, to get lasik, and to travel for a few months afterwards. After this month I need to be a bit more careful with my expenses. Although I’ve begun doing a few things to cut back one expenses such as canceling my gym membership, taking the shuttle to work, and changing my cell phone plan. I got...

It just sort of dawned on me why I’ve been feeling really off lately. It’s almost like an identity crisis without a better way of saying it. If you guys would describe me how I was in San Diego or even abroad.. for example if you were to just free associate… I’m not a lot of those things in the bay area… Things that would define me such as being a social butterfly, a beach lover, a busy body,...

Post Grad Update
Living life as a post-grad is very different. It’s taken a lot of adjusting. In some ways I  feel like I’ve leapt a few steps back to be able to start advancing forward again. Work at G is awesome! The work itself is alright but I love my team, the company’s culture, and the amazing facilities. I don’t feel tired at work and actually I’m normally excited to come in. G...

Extrovert// “Definition: Most people believe that an extrovert is a person who is friendly and outgoing. While that may be true, that is not the true meaning of extroversion. Basically, an extrovert is a person who is energized by being around other people. This is the opposite of an introvert who is energized by being alone. Extroverts tend to “fade” when alone and can...

First Dance Workshop @Studio 10
So everyone Monday night from 9-11pm, Studio 10 has guest choreographers from various backgrounds some to teach some choreo. Last night my friends and I decided to try it out. For most of us, it was our first time taking something outside of the one we took at De Anza. It was a bit intimidating at first since it seemed everyone had been dancing for quite awhile, but after a bit that feeling went...

I didn’t realize how much I missed living independently until the parentals left for vacation this week. It was nice to be able to do everything on my own again. I just picked them up and already felt stressed out in the car. I guess it’s great I got the job! I can start saving up money so that I can eventually move out. :D

Documentaries about Food, Nutrition, and Health
Since I’ve pretty much depleted watching the anime series that I’ve always wanted to watch, I found myself exploring things to watch online on netflix. I like to educate myself and have begun watching more documentaries. Last night, while munching on my dinner, I watched a documentary called: “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” http://www.fatsickandnearlydead.com/ This ...

Mail Order Brides
I came across a really interesting article/documentary the other day. I posted it on my fb but forgot to post it on tumblr. It’s a documentary that explores the mail order bride situation in South Korea [a lot which seem to come from Vietnam]. I had no idea there was a Vietnamese population in South Korea. After watching this I had an opportunity to skype my friend from South Korea, who...

Pre-school Hunting
My little sister is 3 years old, and will be 4 soon in September. I went shopping for pre-schools for her on Friday. My dad and step-mom work all the time and they don’t have the time to put much forth energy into it. I began by just driving around Milpitas and tried to recall places that I have passed by in the past. I ended up stopping by 4 of them. Monarch Pre-school: The first one was...

Hip Hop Midterm
Today we had our MIDTERM for our hip hop class!!! We had to perform the combination we’ve been working on for the past 4-5 classes with a random partner [out of a hat] in front of the whole class. The choreo is to the song Ring a Ling by BEP http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnFhVwJ2wJo. It was SOOO NERVE RACKING!!!! My hands were seriously like shaking while I was waiting for perform....

Hip hop class
Today in hip hop we completed our first combination!! It felt like it was such a huge accomplishment. It’s a piece that goes to Ring-a-ling by Black Eyed Peas. The moves themselves are simple so it’s not AMAZING but I feel like it’s a stepping stone. Compared to out first day of class where it took forever to learn the first combination, where we were all traveling off beat,...
